A contract opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to provide essential psychological services within a K-12 educational setting. This role supports multiple schools in the Baton Rouge, LA area, offering flexible scheduling options to accommodate full-time or part-time availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support student social-emotional development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with district policies regarding confidentiality and reporting.
Qualifications And Experience
- Valid Educator Certification and School Psychologist licensure.
- Eligibility to complete district-mandated background checks and fingerprinting.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, data interpretation, and intervention strategies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff.
Location and Schedule:
- Work will primarily be on-site at selected schools in Baton Rouge, LA, including Shenandoah Elementary, Cedarcrest-Southmoor Elementary, and Helix Aviation Academy.
- Full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time options (approximately 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 days).
- Hybrid work model possible, allowing one day per week remote work.
